Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Arusha Coffee Lodge
Situated at the entrance to Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit, Arusha Coffee Lodge is a lively town on the outskirts. Nestled among a lush coffee plantation, Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge is a haven of fragrant serenity, providing a much-needed reprieve following an exhausting overseas journey or the hustle and bustle of an exhilarating bush safari. Nestled among the surrounding gardens and coffee trees are thirty wooden chalets with modern, roomy interiors that evoke the feel of old plantation cottages.
Once you turn off the road, the main area greets you with a peaceful, understated atmosphere of elegance as you approach it via a driveway lined with trees. A restaurant called Bacchus and a café-bistro have menus that will satisfy even the pickiest of palates, and there are vibrant gardens, a spa, a number of stores, and a swimming pool to look forward to.
Day 2 and 3: Lake Manyara National Park
The Lake Manyara National Park is located in Tanzania’s central-northern region, bordered to the east by the Lake Manyara and to the west by the Manyara Escarpment. It offers stunning vistas and a wide range of ecosystems that are home to a wide diversity of species. The only permanent lodge in Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park is located in a mahogany forest and is called Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Situated in calm, lush environs, ten stilted treehouse rooms, made from local timber and makuti palm leaves, offer exclusivity and solitude. Large windows allow the lush forest to come inside each tree-house apartment, and the decks are generously sized and hung above the forest floor.
The bathrooms have freestanding bathtubs and an outdoor shower, while the bedrooms are furnished with modern furniture and voluminous mosquito nets. Guests may watch as delectable food is prepared in the central interactive kitchen and served in the theatre boma or on the outdoor dining decks, which provide breathtaking views of the forest. Situated in the isolated southern part of the reserve, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only lodge that is open year-round. In an open 4×4 safari vehicle, you will embark on daily morning and afternoon expeditions accompanied by your guide and tracker crew. Your guide will accompany you as you explore the park’s several unique habitats, pausing along the lake’s edge to take in the various bird species and search for pink flamingos.
Day 4 and 5: Serengeti National Park
The core of the great migration is thought to be the huge, rolling savannah of the Northern Serengeti. Large expanses of savannah are dotted with riverine woods and acacia trees, defining the terrain. Along the banks of the Mara River, tourists can spot wildlife and witness the yearly sight of the half a million migratory wildebeest. The opulent tented Serengeti Under Canvas resort is located in Tanzania’s stunning Serengeti National Park and moves throughout the park all year round in an effort to predict the movements of the Great Migration.
The mobile camp is incredibly exclusive and exclusive, with roomy safari tents that come equipped with double beds, private bathrooms, and outdoor bucket showers for both parties. Custom-made Indian rugs, fresh linens, polished brass and shining crystal, reminiscent of the classic safari style, add elegance to the otherwise straightforward act of camping. You can customise your game drive experience by selecting from two shorter drives that take place twice a day or an all-day drive that includes a picnic lunch stop. Given that you might be on the go for the majority of the day, our safari cars have pop-top roofs and roll-down canvas windows.
Day 6 – 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Situated on the brink of the Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is made up of three distinct camps with a combined total of thirty suites. Floor to ceiling windows provide a breathtaking view of the spectacular Crater below, while chandeliers, antiques, and exquisite African treasures adorn each stilted, handcrafted suite of mud and thatch. Large showers and bathtubs with chandelier lighting are features of ensuite bathrooms. A butler assigned to each guest discreetly tends to their every need, including making tea for them in bed, lighting fireplaces, and creating sumptuous bubble baths.
Often likened to a cross between the Maasai and Versailles, every camp features separate guest eating and lounge spaces along with observation terraces. You can take a morning or afternoon game drive to the Crater floor while you’re there. You will go through a verdant highland forest as you drop into the crater, where you may see a variety of tree species and a diverse array of birds. You might come across a wide range of grazing herbivores on the grassy crater bottom, in addition to the predators drawn to the plentiful prey.
