Day 1: Pick up in Kigali – Transfer to Akagera

Make sure to arrive early, have a steaming cup of tea or coffee, and meet your trip leader for an orientation. After gaining an understanding of the purpose of this wildlife adventure, depart the hotel at 8:00 am and head to Rwanda’s Eastern Province’s Akagera National Park. You will need 2.5 hours to drive from Kigali City to Akagera, and when you get at the safari lodge, you can have lunch.

Proceed to Lake Ihema for a relaxing afternoon boat tour after enjoying a leisurely meal. This two to three hour water leisure trip will give you great views of aquatic life, particularly crocodiles, hippos, and birds. The pied kingfisher, black crake, African fish eagle, malachite kingfisher, spur-winged lapwing, jacana, and other aquatic birds are among those that can be spotted here.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Return to Kigali

Get up early, eat a hearty breakfast, and then head to a cosy 4×4 safari car that is ready for your 6:00 am wildlife drive. You will see small and large creatures, including as buffaloes, elephants, Maasai giraffes, lions, rhinos, Uganda Kobs, roan antelopes, and birds, during the two to three hour game drive today.

After lunch, head back to the wildlife safari lodge to complete your check-out. After that, begin the approximately 2.5-hour drive back to Kigali City.
