8 Days Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Tour

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport

After you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport in Arusha, our driver guide will take you to the lodge of your choosing. Legendary Lodge is one of the solutions that will probably make you feel awestruck if you enjoy luxury. Set in lush tropical grounds on a coffee estate just outside of Arusha, it is a luxurious colonial-style property. Its twelve garden houses are all incredibly beautiful. They can see Mount Meru, which is known for its breathtaking dawns. It’s amazing to watch the clouds hover just below its summit. All beautiful sights are within easy reach from the comfort of your verandah. At night, you will be treated to a welcome dinner after which our head guide will brief you on how your trip will unfold.

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Check out of your accommodation and depart for Tarangire National Park after breakfast. Its savannah terrain is maintained by the Tarangire River’s life-giving waters. Olivers Camp, an eco-friendly resort situated away from the throng and near a spot where large herds of elephants congregate, is where you will stay. The property’s lively and family-oriented elephants will win your heart. Watching their happy babies play in the water and bathe is available here. You will be treated to an amazing campfire and a mystical private meal at night.

Once lunch is finished, you’ll have a short break before embarking on an afternoon wildlife drive to see giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeest, zebras, elephants, hartebeest, gazelles, and a variety of birds, including the enormous martial eagle.

Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

You will go on a morning game drive with a guide to look for species that you were not lucky enough to spot the day before. Particularly on the drive back to camp, it’s not unusual to see leopards relaxing in a tree or no more than three metres from our truck. When you return to Olivers Lodge, a bush breakfast experience is waiting for you. The hosts are genuinely heartfelt. It feels like they have welcomed you into their home because they are so genuine.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Check out of the lodge after breakfast, then make your way across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is located within the Great Rift Valley. A cultural immersion treat is one of the activities that are in store for you today. You will go to the Maasai community’s homesteads, referred to as enkangs in the native dialect. In terms of biodiversity, the 2,000-foot-deep caldera known as Ngorongoro Crater’s natural ring is home to an amazing assortment of birds and the Big 5 animals. Among them are flamingos.

Elephants frequently walk through the garden of the opulent Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, which you will check into later in the day. Your experience at the resort will make you feel ten years younger because of its unparalleled vistas and prime location on the rim of the Ngorongoro crater.

Day 5: Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater

Explore a natural wildlife sanctuary with an abundance of elephants, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, buffalos, and rhinos by making your way down into the Ngorongoro Crater. Because of the crater floor’s natural pools of mineral-rich water and profusion of new grass, they are drawn to it. Driving into the crater bottom from the thickly forested crater walls is one of the most exciting aspects of this journey. It will seem as though you’ve stepped into a lost realm with nonstop animal action.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is more than 8000 km². This enormous area has towering volcanic peaks, some of which are currently active, and a few volcanic calderas. This location will enchant you if you have been yearning to witness a lava lake as it hisses, steams, and bubbles away. Its dense jungles are home to swinging monkeys and fluttering, multicoloured birds. You will visit a Maasai hamlet in the evening to experience firsthand their wonderful cultural customs and nomadic way of life. Dinner and accommodation at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After leaving the lodge, go to the Serengeti, which is like a smaller, more concentrated version of Africa. You will be welcomed to Asilia Dunia, a long-term tented camp with a prime location in the popular Serenora and Moru Kopjes regions of the central Serengeti. This region provides excellent opportunities for year-round game viewing. After lunch, head back to the resort for dinner before going on an evening game drive that will be capped off with a sundowner cocktail.

Day 7: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

You’ll get such a clear picture of the African nature as you drive through the park. A few toppi on a hill or hyenas looking for leftovers may be all that you see for several hours while driving over the mesmerising vastness, and then all of a sudden you find yourself in the middle of a massive herd of more than 5,000 wildebeest. Soon after, you begin to witness cheetahs and lions enjoying a recent kill. Other sizable mammals such as Thomson’s gazelles, impala, giraffes, warthogs, elands, dik dik, waterbucks, bushbucks, and a variety of birds contribute to the sighting. If you plan your trip around early July or November-December, you will be witness the renowned annual migration as mass herds of zebras and wildebeest journey towards Kenya’s Masai Mara.

Day 8: Transfer to Arusha – Departure

Following a leisurely breakfast, we will transport you to the adjacent airfield for a quick flight to Arusha. There, you will spend a few hours relaxing at the Legendary Lodge before being driven to Kilimanjaro airport to catch your departure flight.
