Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival
When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will brief you on the 8 day tour and transfer you to a hotel booked for you in Kigali. Check in, relax and have dinner.

Day 2: Helicopter Flight From Kigali To Akagera National Park
Following your hotel breakfast, you will be driven to Kigali International Airport to board your helicopter flight to Akagera National Park. Once there, you will be met by your driving guide for the 8 Days Luxury Safari to Akagera and Volcanoes National Parks, who will assist you with checking into your lodge. You will rest at the lodge after lunch, and then go on a game drive in the evening.

Day 3: Full Day in Akagera National Park
On this day after breakfast, you will proceed for a boat ride on Lake Ihema and have a chance to visit an Island which inhabits a variety of bird species. After lunch you will enjoy a game drive in the park.

Day 4: Morning Community Visit – Evening Game Drive
After a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, depart for an early-morning tour of the town. You will gain an understanding of the daily lives of the people who live around the park by taking an 8-day helicopter tour of Rwanda’s volcanoes and Akagera. You’ll get to know their daily routine, manner of life, and customs. After lunch at the lodge, you will go on an evening game drive in the park.

Day 5: Helicopter Flight From Akagera To Musanze
After breakfast at the Lodge, you will take your helicopter flight to Musanze, where you will meet your driver guide who will drive you to your lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Following a very early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to the trailhead, the beginning of your incredible experience, and receive a briefing at the park headquarters. Trekking with the Great Apes and Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is what you will be doing. This could require two to six hours to complete. Twelve habituated groups of mountain gorillas are dispersed around the park in Rwanda. You will observe the accustomed group playing and eating for an hour as they go about their daily lives. You will be driven back to the resort after your hike, where you can have lunch and then unwind and take advantage of the property’s amenities for the remainder of the day.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking Experience
After a very early breakfast at the lodge, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Proceed to the starting points of the Golden Monkey Trek, a must-do activity in Volcanoes National Park that typically requires four hours of travel. When the habituated primates appear and you spend an hour with them as they go about their everyday lives. Monkeys jump from bamboo trees all day long because they are naturally curious and social animals. After the climb, you will return to the resort for lunch and make use of the facilities for the rest of the day.

Day 8: Helicopter Flight From Musanze To Kigali – Departure
Breakfast at the lodge and after checking out; you will proceed to catch your helicopter flight to Kigali International Airport in order to take your departure International flight.
