5 Days Kenya Safari

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park

In order to spend as much time as possible at the park, you will begin this safari early. For the early departure, your driver/guide will stop at your home, hotel, the airport, or any other location of your choosing. We’ll go down the highway in your very own 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep, pausing in the village of Narok to view the sunrise while we have breakfast. After that, the Masai Mara comes next. While travelling, search for Maasai herders managing their flocks and take in the surrounding scenery of the Great Rift Valley.

About midmorning is when you should arrive at the park. Before embarking on your first game drive, you may enjoy lunch after checking into your safari lodge or tented camp. You’ll recognise that you’re in one of Africa’s best places for animal viewing as your guide leads you over the park’s expansive stretches and past its recognisable acacia trees. The Mara is renowned across the globe for its endless supply of smaller wildlife and frequent sightings of large cats, elephants, zebras, and wildebeest. You will return to your lodging in the evening for dinner and a restful night.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara National Park

We’ll discuss our plans for the day over breakfast. Which park areas are you interested in seeing? Which animals are you trying to find? To make the most of this hectic day, your guide will offer his knowledge. We might travel to the Mara River, which was the location of the Great Migration’s animal crossing. Prepare to be amazed by the influx of thousands of zebras and wildebeests during the season, which runs from July to October. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and other smaller predators await them in the Mara, while armies of crocodiles wait for them in the river.

Visiting the nearby Maasai people could be a great way to enrich your vacation experience while you’re at the Mara. You can interact with these indigenous people and their culture first hand by taking the optional tour to their neighbouring village. Take advantage of the optional hot air balloon safari over the park for a breathtaking Mara experience. Imagine actually rising with the sun, witnessing the wildlife and golden light of the reserve below come to life. You won’t find anything like it elsewhere. Your guide is capable of handling all the planning.

Day 3: Transfer to Amboseli National Park.

A leisurely breakfast will prepare you for the long travel that lies ahead. We’ll take one more game drive around the opulent park as we leave the Mara. As you get closer to Amboseli, you can’t help but notice Mt. Kilimanjaro’s massive silhouette rising in the distance. This should be our first game drive; we should arrive at the park late in the afternoon. It won’t take long or hard to find Amboseli’s renowned free-ranging elephants. And whenever you look in the park, you can see the magnificent Kilimanjaro flaunting its photogenic flanks. As night falls, we’ll make our way to our new digs. Kilimanjaro may burst through the cloud cover that frequently hides its summit, revealing its snow-capped peak.

Day 4: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

You’ll rise early to witness the vibrant splendour of this charming park. You’ll return for breakfast after that. You can spend the entire day on wildlife drives, but if you’d rather, you may relax in your tented camp or safari lodge. Just talk about the type of day you would like to have with your guide. Stay alert for the big wildlife as you meander through the park in our 4 x 4 vehicle. The “Big Five” of Africa can be found in Amboseli, along with other interesting smaller species including baboons, jackals, hyenas, and monkeys. You could also go to Observation Hill, a rise formed like a pyramid. Enjoying the vistas of the park, its lakes, marshes, and the stunning silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro is a great way to unwind here. We’ll spend our fourth safari night relaxing at your accommodation.

Day 5: Take a Train to the Kenya Coast – Mombasa

Our fifth and final day on safari is here, so let’s have one last game drive in this gorgeous park (depending on where your safari lodge or tent is located). We’ll see Kilimanjaro again before making our way to the Emali train station. Another perk is that you may see more animals when your train passes through the vast expanses of Tsavo West and Tsavo East Parks.

Your guide will help you purchase your tickets at the train station so you can travel in luxury. As you unwind in your first-class, air-conditioned seat, observe the parks passing by. Mombasa will be at your door in a matter of hours. With soft, reclining seats and air conditioning, this high-speed train is designed for relaxation. Your big picture windows will offer vibrant views of the parks and their fauna. If you’re hungry or just want to get some fresh air, stop by the buffet car for some food and beverages. You will shortly reach Mombasa’s train station.
