Gorilla trekking safari offers you an amazing experience in one of the 20 habituated mountain gorilla groups. Besides the Gorillas, you will also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among others.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala – Bwindi National Park
Our 4 Days Gorilla trekking and Queen Elizabeth will start with our driver guide pick you up at hotel or at any place of resident, and then brief you about 4 days safari. Later processed to the south western part of the country with en-route stop over at the equator for photography and experiment, Embark on drive to Mbarara for lunch at Agip Motel then precede to Bwindi National Park the home of Mountain Gorillas. It is estimated to half of the world’s surviving population of mountain gorillas –630 live within Bwindi National Park. The drive is long but enjoyable. Proceed south to Buhoma viewing the terraced hills of Kigezi Highlands which known as Switzerland of Africa. Have Dinner and Over at Buhoma Gorilla Havens Lodge/ Trekkers Tavern Lodge/ Mahogany springs.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Being your day with early morning breakfast with packed lunch, then your driver guide will transfer to the starting point for briefing by your guide. You will be allocated guides to track gorillas with, and then will be off to begin your adventure. The time taken and the terrain vary (1- 8 hours) this depends on the movement of these gentle giants. The thrill of meeting face to face takes away the pain of some times long and arduous trek. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in delightfully playful manner.
In the evening you could choose to still stay and relax at the lodge or take an evening walk through the Batwa community, this will give you chance to interact with these people, learn how they live and also watch them perform their traditional dances and songs. Return back to the lodge, have dinner and Overnight at Buhoma Gorilla Havens Lodge/ Trekkers Tavern Lodge/ Mahogany springs.
Day 3: Bwindi National Park to Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After early breakfast head for Ishasha sector, which is the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda, and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO auspices. It borders on Lake George and Lake Edward as well as Kazinga Channel in the western area of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. You will drive in Ishasha sector as your searching lion tree climbing and then check in for lodge. After lunch take a 2-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This waterway joins Lakes Edward and George and it is filled with schools of hippos, buffaloes with elephants at the banks. You are likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas and leopards, Bushbuck, Waterbuck and stripped jackal and off-course the several warthogs. After the launch cruise will take short evening game drive. Have dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge/Enganzi Lodge/Bush Lodge/Katara Lodge.
Day 4: Wild Chimpanzee Tracking, Departure
After breakfast head to Kyambura gorge for a nature walk in an underground forest to such for primates like Chimpanzees, Baboons, monkeys and many more. While here, you will see different types of trees on which forest elephants feed. After you will drive back to Kampala passing through Maramagambo forest to watch out different animals en route, have lunch on the along the way. You will reach Kampala late afternoon, Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
